Algolia
Keep your products in sync with your own Algolia index — automatic on every product change, plus a one-click full reindex.
About Algolia
Connect your Algolia account and Cartly keeps a search index in sync with your catalog. Every time a product is created, updated, unpublished, or deleted — and when its collections, metafields, or inventory change — Cartly pushes the change to your Algolia index automatically. Ideal for merchants who already use Algolia to power search on a headless storefront, a custom front-end, or an external search UI.
This app keeps your Algolia index up to date. It does not replace your storefront's built-in search UI — you (or your front-end) query Algolia directly with your Search-only API key.
## Features
- Automatic product sync on catalog changes (create / update / unpublish / delete)
- Metafield, collection, and inventory changes re-index the affected products
- Facets, searchable attributes, and ranking configured for e-commerce out of the box
- Choose your index name (one index per store)
- One-click full reindex to populate or repair your index
## Setup
1. In the Algolia dashboard → Settings → API Keys, copy your Application ID and an Admin API Key (or a scoped key with addObject/deleteObject/settings/listIndexes).
2. In Cartly, open Settings → Integrations → Algolia, paste both, set your index name (default: cartly_products), and click Test Connection.
3. Run a full reindex to load your current catalog.
Note: large catalogs or long product descriptions can approach Algolia's free-plan 10KB/record and monthly operation limits — check your Algolia plan before reindexing a big catalog.
