Typesense

Connect your Typesense cluster (Typesense Cloud or self-hosted) and Cartly keeps a search collection in sync with your catalog. Every time a product is created, updated, unpublished, or deleted — and when its collections, metafields, or inventory change — Cartly pushes the change to your Typesense collection automatically. Ideal for merchants who already use Typesense to power search on a headless storefront, a custom front-end, or an external search UI.

This app keeps your Typesense collection up to date. It does not replace your storefront's built-in search UI — you (or your front-end) query Typesense directly with your Search-only API key.

## Setup

1. In the Typesense Cloud dashboard, copy your cluster **Host** (the nearest-node hostname, e.g. xxxx.a1.typesense.net) and the **Admin API Key**.

2. In Cartly, open Settings → Integrations → Typesense, paste both, set your collection name (default: cartly_products), and click Test Connection.

3. Run a full reindex to load your current catalog.

Note: use the Admin API Key (with write access), not a Search-only key. A self-hosted instance must be reachable at a public https URL.
